The scope of work was fairly limited with minimal civil and carpentry work, thereby limiting the opportunity of intervention. As a restrained intervention within the space, a single feature element was introduced in all the rooms.

In the primary space of the home, the living room, the focal point is a floor to ceiling shelving unit, mindfully curated to conceal the TV unit when desired. The wall unit is clad in a combination of matt walnut veneer and glossy black paint that stands out against the burgundy suede backdrop.

The three bedrooms, left primarily bare, featuredistinctive shelving units, which hold bothautilitarian andaesthetic appeal.Whilea minimal see through metal shelving unit, set against the windowcompletes onebedroom, a shelving unit designed with a combination of metal and marble clad surfaces is the focal pointof another

The overall use of materials in the space compliments the warm palette of the existing beige marble, which served as a base reference for selection.
